3TG EXPORT VALIDATION

Upstream assurance mechanism allowing producers in conflict-affected and high-risk areas to comply with "conflict-minerals" legislation

RCS Global Group operates the Better Sourcing Program (BSP), the fastest scaling upstream assurance mechanism focussed on the validation of 3TG minerals exports in compliance with global regulatory requirements in the form of "conflict minerals" legislation.

BSP is fully market accepted. It is RMI-recognised and OECD-aligned, with smelters receiving BSP tagged material successfully passing the RMI's RMAP audits.

Combining technology backed, permanent site monitoring with digital traceability, BSP is the most robust assurance mechanism available in ASM trading chains in 3TG.

Better Sourcing's promises are to:
a) deliver accurate information needed for continuous improvement of upstream trading chains through the mitigation of risks;
b) secure delivery of analysed data packages in flexible formats to meet clients’ risk management and positive impact generation objectives.

Supply chains and exports are validated against and data is collected in alignment with the requirements of:

OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Mineral Supply Initiative Chains

Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) Responsible Minerals Assurance Process

Our systems are flexible and can validate against any further responsible sourcing criteria, standards and/or legislation.

Better Sourcing (BSP) Market Acceptance:

BSP has been third-party audited and found to be fully compliant with the requirements of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance. The RMI recognises it to be conforming with the requirements of the RMI (RMAP) smelter audit program. BSP has been operational since 2014 and is working on more than 30 mine sites across tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt in Rwanda and the DRC. Tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold exports are regularly validated and receiving smelters of our validated material were successfully audited by the RMI (RMAP), confirming the market acceptance of BSP-validated material.
