ASM and Small-scale Mining

IGF Guidance on Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining

We are engaged globally in providing training for government and industry on implementation of the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) guidance for Governments in managing Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining.

Industrial mining and artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) interaction

We provide training on managing the interface between large-scale mining and artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) operations. The training is conducted on the basis of a global approach to ASM Management for Industrial Mining Companies which RCS Global developed for Anglo-Gold Ashanti over a three year period. It is also informed by all relevant global good practice as well as the latest industry thinking on conflict management at mine site level. The training is relevant to all companies with concessions exposed to ASM operations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

We provide training for global trading companies and other stakeholders in the applicability of the EITI Standard and Reporting Guidance on Commodities Trading (oil, gas and other petroleum products). This new initiative is led by the EITI Working Group on Commodities Trading. RCS Global is an expert member of the Working Group and has co-developed the guidance document.
