Nicholas Garrett

Director

Dr. Nicholas Garrett is a Director of RCS Global and an internationally recognised expert in RCS Global’s six core work areas: supply chain due diligence and conflict minerals compliance, transparency, artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM), responsible supply chains, human rights and public policy and institutional reform.

He has worked on more than 50 projects for over 10 years and regularly advises a range of clients, including AngloGold Ashanti, AVX, the EITI, Nokia, the OECD, Trafigura, the World Bank, and the World Gold Council, the British, German, Japanese and US Governments, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and World Vision. He has spoken at numerous international conferences and continues to contribute to a number of multi-stakeholder initiatives from the community to international levels with a particular interest in the EITI and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains.

He is also well versed in all other relevant standards related to minerals sector development. Nicholas wrote his doctoral thesis on the ASM and the conflict minerals issue in the Democratic Republic of Congo, at the Freie Universität, Berlin. He also holds a M.Sc. in International Development Management from the London School of Economics. Nicholas works fluently in English, French, Spanish and German.
Harrison Mitchell

Director

Harrison Mitchell is a global expert on responsible sourcing. Recognized for thought leadership and helping clients turn strategy into real world application, he leads RCS Global’s advisory work in responsible sourcing for a range of industry associations and leading global corporations. Harrison directs the due diligence program which includes advising SEC issuers and developing new programs for commodities including cobalt, gold and battery and has overseen RCS Global’s successful move into the China market.

Harrison is a valued partner to a number of industry and convening bodies and works to help them achieve industry wide objectives. These include the OECD, CCCMC, CFSI, Cobalt Development Institute, and International Copper Alliance. He is co-founder of the Better Sourcing Program – one of two upstream certification programs recognized by the CFSI.

In addition to work on supply chain and sourcing, Harrison has also worked extensively on transparency and anti-corruption compliance and risk assessments including leading several EITI validations and scoping studies. He is a widely-published author and quoted expert in publications including the Financial times, Wall Street Journal and BBC. He has an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics.


Finny Tang

Asia Director

Finny is an expert in social responsible program management and conflict free sourcing management. She worked for IBM 10 years with 2 years in procurement engineering and 8 years dedicated to social responsible compliance and conflict free sourcing program management. She has experience in managing over 100 suppliers a year on social compliance programs in Asia and EMEA. She has observed 60+ audits. Finny speaks fluent Chinese and English. She has B.A. in English and MBA in study.
Ferdinand Maubrey

Project Director

Ferdinand is a multi-lingual certified investment adviser with 6 years experience advising some of the world's largest mining, electronics and manufacturing companies on risk management in complex environments, including in Southern and West Africa and Haiti. He has regularly consulted with the World Bank on natural resource governance.

Having contributed to establishing Eunomix, an economic consulting firm, prior to joining RCS Global, Ferdinand is an experienced project manager, who has worked on corporate strategy development, and efficient stakeholder engagement. He speaks French, German, and English fluently, has worked on projects in 10 different countries, and is a published economics researcher.
