Cindy Kroon is a Senior Consultant at RCS Global and she is a specialist in transparency and accountability mechanisms in the extractive industries sector. Her work aims at harnessing resources for development, and she has proven expertise in conducting in-country stakeholder and institutional analyses. She consults for the World Bank, where she works with public, private and civil society sectors in developing country contexts to understand and address their obligations regarding the oil, gas and mining sector, and she has developed capacity building programs aimed at monitoring governance, financial, and socio-economic aspects of the extractive industries sector. She has conducted several political economy studies in resource-rich countries for DFID and local research institutions. She has in-depth knowledge of the oil, gas and mining sector in West and East Africa. She speaks fluent Dutch and English and has working knowledge of French and German.
