We advise some of the largest and most respected companies in minerals and metals supply chains to identify and mitigate human rights risks and other negative impacts in their supply chains. RCS Global has experienced considerable growth over the last 24 months both in terms of staff numbers and offices and we ar now looking for a proactive and highly competent Executive Assistant to join our team.

The Executive Assistant is primarily responsible for managing and conducting key operational and administrative tasks for RCS Global Group’s operations. The role also involves active engagement with RCS Global Group offices / operations globally.

Internal financial management

  • Financial management systems maintenance

Clients include downstream brands from the electronics, manufacturing and automotive industry sectors, midstream companies (e.g. smelters and processors) and raw material producers (e.g. mining companies).

For the past years, we have mostly focused on minerals and metals supply chains, including the sourcing of cobalt, gold, tin, tantalum, and tungsten for consumer electronics and lithiumion batteries. We are now pushing further, beyond minerals, to leverage our experience and expertise to improve responsible sourcing standards across a broader spectrum of natural resources.

RCS Global has experienced considerable growth over the last 24 months and we are currently looking to appoint a detail-orientated and critically-thinking Analyst who is excited about working in the field of responsible sourcing and ready to take the next step in her/his career.


Core Skills / Experience
An ideal candidate will fulfil the following requirements:
  • 3-5 years of work experience, ideally in a business-oriented / corporate consulting / client engagement roles
  • Excellent research, analytical and report-writing skills
  • Some responsible sourcing / supply chain sustainability / human rights knowledge
  • Experience conducting field work in emerging markets is a definite advantage, but not required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as necessary
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Fluency in English with French being a definite advantage
  • Eligibility to work in the EU
The candidate will be directly mentored by RCS Global’s senior management team with global career development opportunities. The role is an unprecedented learning opportunity across multiple industries and geographies to positively shape responsible sourcing standards and corporate behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
Using her/his professional experience the candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
  • Develop research, analysis and client deliverables (for example, reports, presentations and briefing notes) under the supervision of the RCS Global Project Directors and RCS Global Insights and Outreach Director.
  • Conduct fieldwork in emerging markets as necessary.
  • Participate in IP development relating to RCS Global’s advisory services through our internal research and tools development process.
  • Contribute to new business development under the supervision of the RCS Global Project Directors. In particular, the Analyst will:
  • Take project discussions forward under supervision or in partnership with a Project Director or one of the Directors (as appropriate).
  • Identify, create and develop business leads and partnerships with RCS Global’s existing and potential clients.
  • Contribute to RCS Global’s external communications tools, including industry briefing notes, newsletter, blogs, webinars, website and social media content etc.
  • Participate in stakeholder events and conferences as required, write briefing notes and/or report back to the rest of the team.
  • Provide support with the organisation of RCS Global’s events and workshops.
  • Provide administrative support as necessary, for example, with updating RCS Global’s internal databases and management systems.
 
Additional Information:
  • Salary: EUR 35,000 / GBP 30,000 per annum.
  • Reporting: This position reports to RCS Global Project Directors and Insights and Outreach Director.
  • Travel: This position requires international travel (up to 20%) and sometimes in emerging markets with limited infrastructure.
  • Location: There is a preference is for the applicant to be based in Berlin, Germany or London, UK. Working remotely from other EU locations is also an option.
  • Remuneration: Competitive package depending on experience.
  • Starting date: as soon as possible.

Vacancy - Responsible Sourcing Audit Manager

RCS Global are looking to appoint an experienced audit program manager excited about working in this field who is ready to take the next step in their career and join our leadership team.

An ideal candidate will be technical proficient, hardworking, detail-orientated and motivated individual with team management and client facing experience who will quickly be able to complement and lead our established team’s work on the development and implementation of new and existing audit programs.RCS Global also undertakes considerable advisory work to industry programs where technical audit experience is beneficial to our clients. This will be a dual role, whereby the role will provide for a balance of audit program oversight and audit related advisory work.

This position requires some international travel (up to 10%). Applicants can be based anywhere in Europe or the United States within a reasonable travel distance from an international airport and with access to fibre optic internet. Applicants should have permission to work, in either Europe and/or North America. Due to the international nature of our work, all RCS Global staff are required to occasionally join conference calls outside office hours. Remuneration is competitive and depends on experience. You can join our team in London, or else have a home or shared office based position with communication with the global team through Slack, Skype, conference calls and occasional meetings.

Personal specifications:
We are looking for a personable and ambitious individual who is able to manage multiple projects, enjoys interaction with staff members and meet client deadlines. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience which should include:
  • Some experience in responsible sourcing and supply chains auditing, not necessarily in raw materials – other examples might include agriculture, apparel, forestry, coffee, etc.
  • An understanding of the organization and quality assurance for audit programs;
  • Experience and technical expertise in the development of audit programs including tools and protocols and training;
  • Professional qualifications related to auditing;
  • Experience in client and audit program management;
  • A willingness to expand an existing network with RCS Global’s help and in a further evolutionary step, understand and act upon business opportunities within the responsible sourcing space, with support of RCS Global’s leadership team.
Primary Role responsibilities:
  • Oversee RCS Global’s audit work with RCS Global’s leadership team, including client liaison and oversight and management of the established audit team
  • Implementing and overseeing RCS Global’s audit specific technical work, including developing and maintaining audit programs for responsible supply chains, and the design, development and maintenance of audit procedures, audit guidance and audit tools
  • Managing existing audit and related advisory programs, including: SOW writing, auditor selection and contracting, audit planning and quality assurance
  • Maintain RCS Global’s auditor accreditations, including the company’s quality assurance process, as required by auditing bodies;
  • Manage audit sub-managers, employees and contractors, including the management of a staff database, and quality control outputs
  • Direct staff to develop and deliver online and/or classroom training to auditors and auditees worldwide
  • Assist in delivery and/or project management of advisory work on compliance with due diligence regulations, particularly where there is an audit component
  • Conduct high profile audits where a senior auditor is needed and maintain professional competencies
  • Represent RCS Global at conferences, industry events and stakeholder consultations
  • Conduct typical day to day office duties required for your position, such as inter-office communication and time management
  • Participate in RCS Global’s IP development through our internal research and tools development process

Secondary responsibilities include:
  • Support new business development, as appropriate, including proposal development, networking and responding to client enquiries
  • Gain subject matter expertise on RCS Global’s Responsible Sourcing work
  • Contribute to our global outreach and network maintenance
